The Department of at Cornell University invites applications for a one-year postdoctoral position in global engaged learning and research. The position is potentially renewable for a second year, pending funding. During the term of the appointment, the candidate will assist department faculty in the development of a series of innovative engaged global learning initiatives. Working with the department’s engaged learning committee, the successful candidate will develop curricula for three co-meeting courses designed to help train undergraduates in skills and analytical approaches that promote their success in field learning and research.
The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree in anthropology as well as educational and practical experience working on matters related to meaningful international experiences/international education, engaged learning, service learning, and/or other areas that cultivate skills in inter-cultural engagement and their deployment toward collaborative education. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. at the time of appointment.
