Kantor's dissertation is titled “‘We Earn Less than We Eat’: Food, Farming, and the Caring Family in Bihar, India." The project examines changing food and farming practices among rural people in the North Indian state of Bihar. At a time when small-scale farming families struggle to maintain their livelihoods and plan for a future beyond agriculture, this project shows how people articulate an ethics of care in response to the precarious conditions of rural life.
Congratulations, Hayden!
