Ramberg Contributes Chapter to New Book about Gender and Caste

Professor Lucinda Ramberg contributed a chapter to a new edited volume titled Gender, Caste and the Imagination of Equality. Ramberg's chapter is Queering Caste: Casting Religion and Sexing Gender in South India. Published by Women Unlimited, the volume explores the changed terrain of discussion, and examines how religion, political and economic relations, and debates about sexuality and the politics of representation have reshaped the caste question in contemporary public life.
