Sampreety Gurung


Sampreety is a PhD student in sociocultural anthropology. Her current research project explores the reproduction of transnational labor markets through which Nepali men have become “migrant workers” in Malaysia, particularly attending to the politics of representation and (im)mobility.

She received her bachelor’s degree in Economics from Wesleyan College, U.S.A. and her master’s degree in Women’s and Gender Studies from the Central European University, Hungary, and University of Oviedo, Spain.
